We’ve ‘got to stop’ Lismore being associated as a ‘flood town’

Nationals MP Kevin Hogan says we’ve “got to stop” Lismore being associated as “a flood town”.

“Lismore about 30 years ago … they chose a one-in-10-year levee which I think was a mistake,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“It doesn’t solve the issues that we’re seeing in our rural and agricultural lands, but it certainly could help.

“There’s engineering solutions for everything.”

It comes as Lismore and the surrounding areas continue to experience heavy rainfall and flash flooding.
