A Congressional committee has been hearing testimony on the events of January 6th on Capitol Hill. This week, election officials and workers described what they say was a pressure campaign by former President Donald Trump to change the outcome of the 2020 election. And the U.S. Senate could vote later this week on measures to keep firearms out of the hands of dangerous, unstable people. The proposed laws call for enhanced background checks and provide funds for expanded mental health resources in communities and schools.
