Pork-barrelling has ‘infected all levels of politics’

The Australian’s contributing economics editor Judith Sloan says pork-barrelling has “infected all levels of politics”.

Ms Sloan wrote in The Spectator Australia about pork-barrelling, arguing that it’s become the natural modus operandi of politicians and parliamentarians.

“But I did concentrate there on federal because in the past, federal governments did things that federal governments were supposed to do under the constitution,” Ms Sloan told Sky News host Rowan Dean.

“Now federal governments try and do everything.”
