Officials Report Damage to Buildings Next to Kharkiv City Hall

Ukrainian emergency services were surveying damage in Kharkiv’s city center on Tuesday, March 2, where they said strikes damaged buildings next to Kharkiv City Council. The council building itself was not struck but windows and doors were damaged as a result of the blasts, according to a spokesman for the State Emergency Service (SES) as well as reports from Ukrainian media. Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov said Russian forces continued shelling residential neighborhoods through the night. Strikes also targeted buildings housing the Kharkiv branches of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Main Directorate of the National Police, and the University of Kharkiv, Terekhov said.
