Netflix loses 200k subscribers within the first quarter

For the primary time in a decade, Netflix has misplaced extra subscribers than it signed up, after its newest quarterly earnings had been launched, revealing a 26 per cent plunge in shares.

XM Australia CEO Peter McGuire says the Netflix CEO has obtained his “hands full this time” with competing streaming platforms.

“They got their hands full with a 100 million subscribers sharing passwords,” Mr McGuire advised Sky News Australia.

“We all know family members and their sharing; this is a global issue that they’ve got to face; they’ve tried certain strategies in some parts of South America, and it wasn’t that successful.

“But people are mooching on other subscribers; so, how this moves forward is going to be very interesting, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they go next quarter.”
