The death of an 18-year-old man in Morrell Park in Southwest Baltimore has been ruled a homicide investigation after an autopsy, police said Thursday.
Baltimore Police responded to the 2500 block of Georgetown Road on Wednesday at 7:22 p.m. and found a man with severe burns near the railroad tracks. The man, who has been identified as Jeremiah Williamson, was pronounced dead at the scene by medics, police said.
Williamson’s body was taken to the medical examiner’s office, where an autopsy was performed. Police were notified Thursday that Williamson was killed by a gunshot to the head, upgrading his case from a suspicious death to a homicide.
