Baltimore household mourning after 13-year-old boy dies throughout faculty journey at Cecil County camp

A Baltimore household is devastated following the mysterious loss of life of its 13-year-old constitution faculty scholar.
Athumani Brown died whereas on a school-sponsored subject journey in Cecil County. The NorthBay Adventure Camp is about an hour’s drive from the Baltimore Montessori Public Charter School on Guilford Avenue, and it is a standard place for college kids. This week, the scenic getaway is now a spot of heartbreak for Brown’s household.
“I got a call from the teacher at NorthBay saying something happened, there was a medical emergency and he was on his way to the hospital,” mentioned Dionn Brown, Athumani’s mom.
Athumani died earlier than the household may make it to Cecil County.
“We want to know what’s going on. We want to know what happened to him. You don’t send your child off on a field trip and the very next day that child is dead,” Dionn Brown mentioned. “He was happy, he was healthy, he was well taken care of, and we want to know what happened. What happened to Athu? What happened to my son?”
So far, the household has seen no paperwork, no police report and no health worker’s discovering.
Students from two different Baltimore City colleges had been on the similar camp on the time of the tragedy.

Baltimore City Public Schools despatched an announcement to 11 News, saying: “On Tuesday, a seventh-grade scholar at Baltimore Montessori Public Charter School handed away throughout a subject journey at NorthBay Adventure Camp. To be clear, ‘throughout’ means he was collaborating within the subject journey. We consider a major medical occasion occurred.
“Students at Commodore John Rodgers Elementary/Middle School and the Middle Alternative Program had been additionally current on the camp however had been reportedly not close by when the medical occasion occurred.
