ABC’s ‘self loathing’ narrative ‘not a positive export’ to Pacific

The “self-loathing” narrative which the ABC initiatives in a few of its programming wouldn’t be a optimistic export to the Pacific, says Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton.

It comes as Labor introduced its international election coverage for the Pacific – which incorporates the ABC receiving $8 million yearly to extend Australia’s voice within the area and counter China’s rising affect.

“Some of the programming is not necessarily something that Australians would want representative of who is Australian,” Mr Houghton advised Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“All you’re going to get is the Solomon Islands seeing every ten seconds how Australians are racist or sexist and how evil we are.”
